CLASSIC ROUTE 66 MOTEL BEGINS NEW LIFE

 It opened in April 1959 to rousing welcomes and messages of good luck.  The Skyliner Motel, Stroud, Oklahoma went on to become a landmark of the northeast stretch of Oklahoma's long ribbon of Route 66 road.

State Group Visits Local Museum

 Members of the state chapter of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) visited Stroud on Saturday, May 17, 2025.  The visit began with a meal at the historic Route 66 restaurant, The Rock, and then photographs by the "Coca-Cola Sign" and finally a tour and program at the Route 66 Spirit of America Museum.
